A Carnegie Hall to Nelson Hall Christmas
DECEMBER 15, 2017 • 2PM & 7:30 PM — Beloved brother-brother singing act, Will and Anthony Nunziata, will bring a stellar repertoire from their concert at Carnegie Hall straight to Nelson Hall for a Broadway style Christmas celebration! Accompanied by their Broadway pianist and plenty of good humor and brotherly banter, this is sure to be a fun, festive concert event.
Bennett Family Christmas Concert
Sunday, December 17th, 2017 • 2PM and 5:30PM — Enjoy the festive sounds of handbells, vocals, instrumentals, accordions and more as this talented, musical family celebrates birth of Jesus Christ. This Christmas concert features a combination of new and familiar Christmas carols such as Good Christian Men Rejoice, O Come O Come Emmanuel, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Holy Night and more. A Free-will offering is suggested and will be collected at the door.
Evening of Piano & Flute on February 10th
Saturday, February 10, 2018 — An Evening with Piano and Flute featuring a variety of romantic, classical selections.
Tara Lesco performs as piano soloist and accompanist in the Hartford and New Haven areas. She has played in the pit orchestras of several musicals, including Pippin, West Side Story, and Jekyll and Hyde. She has served as accompanist for a touring company performing throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to performing, Tara has spent many years involved in music therapy programs across CT and has served as a music director, as well as a worship leader in several churches. Tara holds B.Mus and M.M. degrees from The Hartt School in Music History and Piano Performance, respectively. She has studied with the late Susan Tannenbaum, Watson Morrison, and Paul Rutman. She teaches piano at Neighborhood Music School in New Haven and in her own private studio in Wallingford.
Tricia Macaboy Blanks is a Sr. Administrative Assistant at Kaman Precision Products, a Division of Kaman Aerospace, in Middletown, CT. She grew up in Hamden, CT and currently lives in Wallingford with her husband, Ray, and has two grown daughters, Katelyn and Emily. Tricia has been playing the flute for over 40 years, with two early musical highlights being selected as one of seven flutists from the eastern seaboard to participate in the Eastern Musical Festival in North Carolina and also playing in the first chair position in the CT All-State Orchestra in her senior year of high school. Over the years, she has performed with many musical groups, including the Hamden Symphony, the New Haven Youth Symphony, the Porch Players, the Earl Banquer Woodwind Quintet, the Orion Trio, and the Charter Oak Flutes. She currently serves as the music librarian and flute section leader of Wallingford’s “R” Band, as an ensemble musician for the Middlesex Vocal Chords and the Wallingford Chorus, and freelances around the state, playing in pit groups for musical productions and in local churches for special services and weddings, as well as serving in the music ministry in her own church, White Oak Baptist in Cheshire.
