Laudate Homeschool Orchestra
Thursday, January 18, 2017 – 7PM – Come enjoy the Laudate Homeschool Orchestra, as they present a classical winter concert. Free and open to the public, no tickets required.
Concert features the following:
A savory taste of the Slavic countryside with four peppy Slavonic Dances by Czech immigrant Antonin Dvorak.
A brand new composition custom-composed for LHO by musician, composer and pastor Michael Shawn Carbaugh II. Conducted by Mr. Carbaugh.
A quirky three-part Sonatine for Woodwinds by Toshi Nagata, an amateur composer and arranger living in Nagoya, Japan. Featuring the singular tones of bassoon, oboe, flute and clarinet.
Several warm hymn arrangements by our rich and resonant brass quartet, comprised of baritone horns, trombone and trumpet.
Songs of the Grand Ole Opry
OCTOBER 20, 2017 • 2PM & 7:30PM — An authentic tribute to the classics that still echo in the Grand Ole Opry’s Ryman auditorium, songs by country legends such as Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Bob Willis, Loretta Lynn and more. Performed live by the Truck Stop Troubadours with special guest Vicky St Pierre.

With one female and four male vocalists, “Running on Empty” can re-create the exquisite vocal harmonies that were unique to the Laurel Canyon sound. Everything you hear is played live. The “Running On Empty” band features session vocalist and premier band performer Sheila Fabrizio; 13-time Emmy winner Andy “A.J.” Gundell (Helium Brothers); Howard Jeffrey (extensive work with REO Speedwagon, Harry Chapin, Dan Fogelberg); keyboardist songwriter Rob Mack (for other artists and televisionshows); guitarist Shawn Persinger (composer and performer on five continents,in 36 countries and countless cities); studio/live/session drummerGreg Trabandt (Tommy Lee, Jeff Canatta, Arc Angel); and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jordan West (Bon Jovi, Ted Nugent, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd), and as a special guest fiddler, Kenny Kosek, who is one of the most recorded fiddlers in America today (James Taylor, Jerry Garcia, Willie Nelson and John Denver).”
